This month our desert island castaway is award-winning journalist and beauty editor, Rosie Green. She talks to us about the Desert Island Delights she would pack in her beauty bag should she find herself stranded on a desert island.
Rosie Green has spent over twenty years writing about beauty and fashion for top glossy magazines and national newspapers. After a life-changing split she created the website, Life's Rosie, to not only share her personal stories, but to offer support and expert advice to anyone going through a heartbreak. Practical, uplifting and a shot of mood-enhancing goodness, Rosie's candid and witty style promises to take you from heartbreak to happiness.
So, what would someone who has the pick of any beauty products pack in her wash bag? Let's find out.....
What 5 items would you pack in your beauty bag to take to a desert island?
1. A good SPF Sun Cream
It goes without saying that unless I want to come back with major pigmentation a good SPF is a must. I'd pack either Clarins Hydra Quench Tinted Moisturiser with SPF or SkinCeuticals Brightening UV Defence SPF 30. Both are brilliant and lovely and light.
2. Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Intensive Treatment
I'd use the opportunity to put a hair mask on as no one will see me on the beach. I love Philip Kingsley Elasticizer as its super moisturising.
3. Chanel 19
I'd take this to remind me of all the lovely times I've had when I've worn it. It instantly brings back amazing memories of my kids and friends - perfect for on a desert island.
4. Essie Ballet Slippers Nail Polish
Because having nice fingers and toes always makes me feel better.
5. by Terry Baume de Rose Flaconette Liquid Lip Balm
I use lip balm not just on my lips, but also on my eyebrows to tame them and my lashes to keep them strong.
In addition to your 5 selected beauty items, which other luxury item would you take with you to the island?
I'm a bit of a cashmere addict, so for my luxury item I would pack a lovely cashmere blanket to wrap myself up with at night. I've got a beautiful one from Oka, but anything from The White Company always cheers me up.
